Job description

         SUMMARY:

         The nurse in this position will be responsible for Healthcare Trainings resulting in stackable credentials available to high school students and adult education students offered in partnership with Great Falls College MSU. Communicates and performs other duties, as needed, related to roles and responsibilities of a staff school nurse and as applicable.

                                                

QUALIFICATIONS:                       

                                                Graduate of board-certified School of Nursing

                                                                                Must hold a minimum of LPN License in the state of Montana

                                                                                Current certificate of CPR and knowledge of First Aid

                                                                                Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral format

                                                                                Ability to utilize community resources to establish and maintain working relationships with students, school, college, and various industry partners

                                                                                Ability to handle stressful situations

                                                                                Ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

                                                Minimum of 3 years' experience as LPN relating to long term care and home health aide settings

                                                                                Experience in teaching multiple health science related short-term certification content fields in relation to certified nursing assistant, home-health-aide, EKG and wound care basics, medication aide, etc.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:          

                                                Responsible for health science training content and instruction

                                                                                Coordinates training schedules

                                                                                Conducts outreach to rural, private, and home school students for additional enrollments

                                                                                Assists in promoting programs on health education and immunization

                                                                                Collaborates with high school and college health science programs for awareness and transition

                                                                                Displays continued communication with multiple community resources and industry partners

                                                                                Creates reports and maintains accurate files

                                                                                Complies with all state licensure regulations for training, certifications, and credentialing

                                                                                Engages in professional development

                                                                                Provides connection and support to other school nursing staff when needed

EMPLOYMENT DAYS:                 Contracted Full-Time Employee 187 days

SALARY:                                          Starting Salary 50,864.00 Dependent on Experience
