Job Description BAE Systems' Precision Strike (PS) Business Area in Huntsville Alabama has immediate openings for Systems Software Engineering Interns to work with Embedded Systems within the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line specializing in RF and EO/IR Seeker development programs. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, developing the embedded systems that protect those who serve. What You Will Do: As a Systems Software Intern, you won't just be observing; you'll be contributing. You will: Develop & Integrate: Work on understanding Systems and embedded software development for complex electronic systems. Hands-On Testing: Step out of the code and into the lab, using professional test equipment to integrate and validate your software on actual hardware to align with Systems Requirements. Collaborate: Work alongside seasoned engineers to solve intricate problems in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education: Currently entering your Senior year of an Engineering degree or pursuing a Master's degree.
Technical Foundation: A solid understanding of basic electronics.
Coding Toolkit: Proficiency in at least one or more of the following: C++, Python, or MATLAB.
Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen eligible for a Secret Department of Defense (DoW) clearance.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
Previous internship experience in embedded systems or software development.
A curiosity for how complex electronic systems communicate and function. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Understanding of radar principles

Full-Time Salary Range: $54631 - $73752 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
