Job description

Temporary QA Coordinator
This is a TEMPORARY supporting role for the Gatesville Quality Assurance Team.
Position Overview:
  • Facilitate and serve as subject matter expert for the Handling of Quality Problems processes, to include quality of work and proper usage of the problem-solving process.
  • Facilitate the Monitoring and Measuring Equipment aspects of the ISO 9001 Quality System.
  • Serve as the quality assurance product and process expert interface for manufacturing quality escalations.
  • Analyze and recommend action for customer complaints for Gatesville products.
  • Audit the Laerdal Management System.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB), Change Reviews, Design Reviews, Customer Eye inspections, Manufacturing Quality Data Reviews, and First Article Inspections.
  • Serve as a quality point of contact for manufacturing quality escalations, determining next steps and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Lead and facilitate Non-Conformance Review (NCR) Board meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed on time and to required quality standards.
  • Facilitate site processes related to non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), investigations, concessions, and rework.
  • Plan, communicate, and ensure execution of the Monitoring and Measuring Equipment and calibration process, including tracking due dates and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate with calibration service providers and department managers to schedule equipment calibration, manage logistics, and ensure vendor payment per contract.
  • Review calibration certificates, manage out-of-calibration issues, and open non-conformances as needed.
  • Analyze customer complaint trends, report findings, and recommend actions that drive continuous quality improvements at the Gatesville site.
  • Participate in and lead internal quality audits as scheduled.

Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Rate:
  • $17-$18 per hour

Requirements:
  • Education: High School Graduate
  • Experience: Experience with ISO auditing, preferred.
  • Skills: Proactive, Knowledge of Quality Assurance
  • Other Requirements: Travel to Monterrey, Mexico as needed.
