Job description

JLS Presents — Where Legacy Meets StyleTM — is a fast-growing culture-forward apparel brand serving the HBCU and Divine Nine Greek organization community. We sell at national conventions, regional conferences, and online — and we're in the middle of our biggest season yet.

We're looking for a sharp, reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team immediately. This starts as a 4-week temp role with real potential to become permanent for the right candidate. If you're organized, self-motivated, and take pride in your work, this is your opportunity to grow with a brand that's on the move.

This position has the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain an organized inventory tracking system for apparel and accessories from the ground up
  • Conduct full physical inventory counts and reconcile against records
  • Pull and stage inventory for online orders and event shipments across the country
  • Pick up inventory from vendors, suppliers, and freight locations using a valid driver's license
  • Pack, label, and ship orders directly to customers with accuracy and care
  • Receive and inspect incoming product deliveries — flag any quality or quantity issues immediately
  • Organize and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse space
  • Assist with prepping inventory packages for national event circuit stops
  • Lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
  • Communicate proactively — if something's off, you say so

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid driver's license required — you will be picking up inventory
  • Prior warehouse, stockroom, fulfillment, or inventory experience preferred
  • Proven ability to build organization systems from scratch in a disorganized environment
  • Detail-oriented — accuracy is everything in this role
  • Self-starter who can work independently without constant direction
  • Comfortable with Google Sheets or Excel for inventory tracking
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Available full-time and able to start within 7-14 days
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a cargo van at times

Why JLS Presents:

  • Be part of a brand with a real cultural mission — we serve the HBCU and Divine Nine community at the highest level
  • Work directly with leadership — your impact is visible and recognized immediately
  • Temp-to-hire — this role can become permanent for the right person
  • Performance-based pay increase to $19/hour based on accuracy and reliability
  • Ground floor opportunity with a brand expanding nationally

This Role Is Right For You If:

  • You've worked in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or stockroom and know how to move efficiently
  • You've walked into a disorganized space and built a system from scratch
  • You take ownership — you don't wait to be told twice
  • You want more than a temp job — you want to build something
  • You're the person who notices when the count is off before anyone else does

Company Description

JLS Presents designs and sells premium apparel for HBCU alumni and Divine Nine Greek organization members at national Boules, Conclaves, and regional conferences across the country.
