Job description

Telehealth Aide

Job Type: Part-time | Temporary (Approximately 45 Days) Company: PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS) Location(s): Multi-Location Coverage across Silver Spring, Sandy Spring, and Laurel, MD Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS) is on a mission to expand access to quality mental healthcare by partnering with long-term care facilities to serve and support one of the most vulnerable populations—our seniors. We are a team of grounded, forward-thinking clinicians and professionals who work collaboratively in a dynamic environment that values empathy, transparency, and a healthy work-life balance.

A down-to-earth approach, always. Our integrated and responsive team keeps the path clear so our clinicians can focus on what they do best—delivering excellent care. A transparent culture committed to continuous improvement. We foster an open, collaborative environment where communication matters, feedback is valued, and growth is ongoing. Meaningful work with direct patient impact. As a Telehealth Aide, you play an important role in making mental healthcare accessible to patients by helping bridge the gap between our remote clinicians, facility teams, and the residents we serve.

You're a dependable, patient, and tech-comfortable professional who enjoys working directly with people. You communicate well with patients and healthcare professionals, can work independently in a facility setting, and are comfortable troubleshooting basic technology. You're also comfortable being on the move. This position supports patients at long-term care facilities within an assigned territory and may require travel between multiple facilities in the same day.

As a Telehealth Aide at PGS, you will provide on-site support that allows our clinicians to deliver effective virtual mental healthcare to patients in long-term care settings. You will facilitate telehealth appointments, assist patients throughout their sessions, and serve as an on-site connection between PGS providers and facility staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate telehealth equipment, including computers, cameras, and other devices
  • Ensure telehealth equipment is functioning properly before and during appointments
  • Assist patients with connecting to telehealth sessions and provide guidance and reassurance throughout the process
  • Serve as the on-site liaison between telehealth providers and facility staff
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues involving telehealth equipment and software and escalate unresolved issues when necessary
  • Travel to assigned long-term care facilities to support scheduled patient appointments
  • Commute between and service patients at multiple facilities per day, as scheduling and patient needs require
  • Maintain professional, timely communication with PGS providers, facility staff, and the Regional Liaison

Our Guarantee: Working with us will nourish your development—professionally and personally. Whether through meaningful interactions with patients, exposure to the healthcare environment, or the day-to-day experience of supporting our mission-driven clinical team, PGS is a place where you'll grow.

Ready to Join a Purpose-Driven Team? If you're looking for a hands-on role where your work directly supports access to mental healthcare and you want to grow with a company that values you as a person and a professional—we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability and willingness to travel between assigned facilities, including servicing multiple facilities in the same day
  • Monday–Friday availability during normal business hours
  • Comfortable setting up and operating computers, cameras, and other telehealth equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technology and software issues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, clinicians, and facility staff
  • Ability to work independently in long-term care facility settings
  • Healthcare, administrative, or technical support experience preferred
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Values-driven and eager to grow with a team committed to doing the right thing, always

Benefits: Please Note: This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to last approximately 45 days. Temporary employees in this position are not eligible for company benefits.
