Job title: Development Consultant - Temporary Position

Location/Work arrangement: SWHD Main Office in Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Part Time, Temporary – 20 hours per week, 6 weeks

The Development Consultant will provide temporary support to the Development Team Managers during a defined six-week assignment. Responsibilities include assisting with event follow-up, recruitment efforts, cultivating donations from local and national businesses, drafting social media content, supporting corporate partnership opportunities, and contributing to other project-based initiatives as needed. This temporary role is designed to help advance SWHD’s immediate development goals, strengthen community engagement, and expand support for our mission. This is a temporary, part-time position scheduled for up to 20 hours per week for a six-week period.

What you’ll do:

  • Contact attendees of the August 12th WGC event to invite them to sign up as a member of WGC.

  • Request “in-kind” donations from businesses for our November golf tournaments.

  • Assist with developing strategies to approach companies to meet their needs for staff engagement and meetings philanthropic goals.

  • Temporarily manage day-to-day social media operations, including planning, scheduling, publishing, and moderating content with a high degree of independence.

  • Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, using insights and trends to refine content strategy and improve results.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience creating engaging digital content across social media.

  • Ability to research and approach businesses for donations.

  • Experience in corporate relations.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Possess an insured & registered vehicle and a valid AZ driver’s license.

  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • DES Criminal Affidavit Required
