ServiceMaster Restoration Services is seeking an experienced Emergency Response Lead to respond to emergency property damage situations including storm damage, fire damage, vandalism, and vehicle impacts. This position is responsible for roof tarping, emergency board-ups, water extraction, and securing damaged residential properties to prevent further loss.
The ideal candidate is highly dependable, comfortable working at heights, experienced with roofing or construction, and able to work independently in emergency situations while maintaining professionalism with homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency service calls for roof tarping, board-ups, water extraction, and property securement
  • Install emergency roof tarps to prevent additional water intrusion
  • Perform water extraction and initial emergency mitigation services when needed
  • Board up windows, doors, garage openings, and structural openings
  • Assess damaged structures and determine safest temporary stabilization methods
  • Load, transport, and install required materials and equipment
  • Maintain emergency response vehicle inventory including tarps, plywood, lumber, fasteners, ladders, extraction equipment, and tools
  • Document job conditions with photos and communicate findings to management
  • Identify opportunities for additional mitigation or reconstruction services
  • Assist with demolition or mitigation when needed
  • Follow all safety protocols including ladder, roof, and fall-protection requirements
  • Participate in rotating after-hours emergency response schedule

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • 3+ years of roofing, construction, restoration, or related field experience preferred
  • Ability to safely lift 100+ pounds
  • Comfortable working on ladders, steep roofs, and elevated surfaces
  • Experience using construction tools including saws, drills, and fastening equipment
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions including heat, rain, and cold
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Roofing experience
  • Restoration industry experience
  • OSHA 10 or safety training
  • Leadership or crew lead experience

Work Schedule
  • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Participation in after-hours emergency on-call rotation required
  • Must be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes to 2 hours
  • Candidate should reside in or near Marietta, Georgia

Compensation
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
    $50 emergency response bonus for each qualifying after-hours emergency call
    Double-time pay for emergency response work performed after 5:30 PM on weekdays and anytime on weekends
    After-hours on-call compensation
    Overtime opportunities

Compensation: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
