Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Financial Assistant for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The Theatre Department is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Temporary Financial Assistant to provide day-to-day financial and administrative support. This role will assist with expense reimbursements, account reconciliations, purchase orders, and other financial transactions while serving as a resource for faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication and customer-service skills, and an interest in or appreciation for finance, accounting, and working with numbers. The ability to stay organized, manage multiple requests, follow through on tasks, and communicate clearly with faculty and staff is essential.
Qualifications Required:
A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
Strong writing skills;
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;
Diligent and can work independently;
Experience working with confidential information;
Professionalism;
Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment.
Software Required:
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions.
