Responsibilities*
Perform laboratory experiments including mammalian cell culture, molecular and cellular biology techniques, extracellular vesicle/particle isolation, biomaterial preparation, biochemical assays, and sample processing according to established protocols.
Conduct animal studies including animal handling, breeding, genotyping, dosing, monitoring, tissue collection, necropsy, and preparation of samples for downstream analyses in accordance with approved animal protocols.
Manage and maintain laboratory animal colonies, including breeding coordination, animal identification, record keeping, health monitoring, genotyping organization, and communication with animal care staff.
Perform experimental analyses including flow cytometry, histology, immunostaining, microscopy imaging, image analysis, and quantitative assessment of biological samples.
Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain experimental data, laboratory records, electronic notebooks, and research databases; prepare figures, summaries, and reports for research projects.
Maintain laboratory operations including reagent preparation, inventory management, ordering supplies, equipment maintenance, quality control, and compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
Participate in laboratory meetings, research training, protocol documentation, regulatory compliance activities, and assist with onboarding and training of new laboratory personnel.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's level degree in biomedical sciences or engineering fields and a minimum of 1 or 2 years of full-time wet laboratory research experience. Must have an excellent attendance record, excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail skills.

This position is located at the School of Dentistry at the NCRC Bldg at 2800 Plymouth Rd Ann Arbor, MI
Additional Information
This is a 1 year term limited apt with the possibility of extension based on funding/performance.
