Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule

This position involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. A commitment of 36 or 48 hours per week is available, with the requirement to work at least 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit, providing care in a 40-bed unit. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients while working within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EPIC).
  • Assist with charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
  • Be flexible and willing to float to other units as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
  • 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
  • Active New York Registered Nurse license.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
