Environmental Technician

Overview

As an Environmental Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) in our Athens, PA office, you will participate in and contribute to a variety of projects and services in our team-oriented environment. Under the direction and supervision of experienced project managers, you will contribute to natural gas, power/renewable energy, and commercial development projects.

You will primarily perform on-site inspections associated with construction and operation of temporary waterlines, natural gas pipelines, and other projects. You will observe, record, and report your observations to help ensure compliance with environmental regulations and ensure proper installation and maintenance of erosion control devices. You will summarize these observations and photographs in daily inspection reports and weekly reports. You will periodically assist with environmental sampling, infiltration testing, survey stakeouts, and a variety of other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
    0-2 years of technician/inspection experience
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a pickup truck
  • Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather conditions with strict adherence to operating procedures and safety policies
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and good communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others
