Description
The College and Career Readiness (CCR) program seeks instructors to teach skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening for adult learners seeking to improve their English language proficiency. Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, and developing lessons and units of instruction to help students improve functional and academic proficiency; providing ELA instruction for students in the College and Career Readiness program; monitoring student growth throughout each instructional session; and keeping necessary class records to document student attendance and progress.
Salary: Based on education and experience. 5 - 15 hours per week, depending upon class schedule. Currently seeking daytime and evening instructors.
Start Date: To be determined.
Closing Date: Open until filled.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution, required. A degree in education or a related field, preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience and/or TESOL certification are highly preferred.
