We're looking for a mechanically inclined Production Engine Technician to build, test, troubleshoot, and validate our proprietary heating systems from the ground up.

- Work on cutting-edge temporary heating equipment utilizing jet engine technology
Build complete engine systems from teardown through final testing

What You'll DoEngine Assembly & Production
Build complete engine and heating units from start to finish using detailed work instructions and engineering specifications
Tear down returned engines and equipment for inspection and repair
Inspect and evaluate engine components for reuse, repair, or replacement
Perform engine rebuilds and component replacements
Assemble mechanical, electrical, and fuel system components to exact specifications
Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship throughout the build process
Testing & Diagnostics
Perform operational testing before and after engine rebuilds
Diagnose engine and equipment failures using mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques
Validate repairs through performance testing
Conduct functional testing on complete units and individual components
Verify equipment is production-ready before shipment
Prototype Development & Engineering Support
Build prototype units from engineering designs
Test new components and product improvements
Evaluate prototype performance, durability, and reliability
Document testing results and provide technical feedback to Engineering
Participate in product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Inventory & Production Support
Maintain organized inventory of engine components and production materials
Identify parts requiring replenishment and communicate purchasing needs
Ensure accurate documentation of inventory movements and production activities
Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Complete detailed teardown reports, inspection documentation, and test records
Maintain accurate production data within company systems
Update work instructions and documentation as products evolve
Recommend process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Team Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, and fellow technicians
Participate in technical discussions, production planning, and problem-solving meetings
Provide technical expertise related to engine performance and failure analysis
Support field service teams when advanced technical knowledge is needed
What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or technical certification in Aviation Maintenance, Powerplant Technology, Diesel Technology, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred
Professional engine building experience or technical school experience building aircraft, turbine, diesel, racing, or industrial engines strongly preferred
Manufacturing or production assembly experience is a plus

Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Basic computer skills for documentation and production systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, using hand tools, and working around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
