Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant - Mobile Clinic

Location: Houston TX 77054

Starting Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour + (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support a mobile clinic team in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic, community-based setting and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient information including vital signs, height/weight, BMI, medical history, medications, and allergies with a high level of accuracy
• Assist in gathering biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental patient data
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with clinical procedures as needed
• Perform basic clinical tasks including specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and treatments (e.g., nebulizer treatments, ear irrigation, dressing changes)
• Utilize medical equipment such as thermometers, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, and screening tools
• Update patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with clinic protocols
• Support patient flow and coordinate care with providers and clinical staff in a fast-paced mobile environment
• Maintain infection control standards in accordance with OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines
• Provide culturally sensitive, age-appropriate care to pediatric and adult patients
• Deliver excellent customer service and communication to patients, families, and team members

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices
• Experience with basic lab equipment (centrifuge, microscope, specimen collection) preferred
• Familiarity with pediatric care and mobile or community health settings a plus
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a mobile clinic environment and work effectively in a team setting

Accepted Certifications Include:

CCMA (NHA), CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or EMT/Paramedic certifications (Texas DSHS)
