Burke is seeking a temporary Marketing Assistant (approximately 15 hours per week through the end of September) to support conferences and events, website and social media content, and day-to-day marketing operations. This hybrid role is ideal for a high organized and detail-oriented individual who can coordinate multiple projects, manage communications and content schedules, and help ensure the successful execution of key marketing initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Conferences & Events
- Provide end-to-end conference and event support, including coordination of activities, stakeholder communication, and collaboration with the marketing team on event planning and execution
- Manage internal event communications with Client Services teams, including email outreach, RSVP tracking, and ongoing updates
- Partner with Client Services Managers (CSMs) on event list management, audience targeting, and schedule
- Track and report on event email performance metrics
- Support Zoom event logistics, including RSVP management, audience lists, and pre-event communications
Website & Social Media
- Maintain and update pages on burke.com, including Events page and Latest Thinking section on burke.com
- Compile and report on performance metrics across social media, website, and digital platforms to inform marketing strategy
- Manage social media content pipelines for Burke Institute and Seed Strategy, ensuring consistent planning, scheduling, and execution across channels
- Support Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) enhancements, including contributing to and optimizing BeyondMeasure articles, as well as content across the Burke Institute and Seed Strategy websites.
Marketing Operations & Support
- Maintain and update the marketing calendar on BNET
- Serve as the primary coordinator - working closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator - for the BeyondMeasure thought leadership blog, ensuring content stays on schedule and following up with contributors as needed
- Provide proofreading and quality assurance support across marketing materials
What You'll Need:
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and moving pieces simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting event communications, email updates, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Attention to detail for website updates, RSVP management, list maintenance, and proofreading.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Comfort working with web-based platforms and marketing tools.
- Experience using social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, LinkedIn scheduling tools).
- Familiarity with SEO/AEO best practices and content optimization preferred.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
