As a Vertical Sales Specialist - Matting Solutions, you will be assigned to a defined district(s) driving profitable revenue for a product, application or vertical customer segment. Responsible for growing product or vertical revenue in partnership with local territory Sales Reps.

You will drive the total value proposition of Matting Solutions, coordinate large projects with technical complexity with opportunities for the full scope of Matting Solutions offerings. In addition, you will train, lead and mentor Sales Reps in partnership with the Regional Product Development Manager. What you'll do: Work with field sales team to discover projects related to specific product or vertical Utilization of Salesforce (SFDC): entering, tracking and closing related project opportunities Attend pre-bid meetings, representing United Rentals Matting Solutions by working closely with contractors bidding work Attend pre-construction meetings to communicate project details and "hand off" project to Operations Management Design of solutions with support from operations and field sales team Submittal of system solutions to bidding contractors Close win opportunities in construction/infrastructure markets Change order submittal Mentor OSRs on Matting Solutions product offerings in specific vertical Liaison between customer and operations Other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum 7 years sales and/or operations management experience Temporary access roads and right of way experience is preferred Proficiency with SalesForce.com and MS Office (Word/Excel) Strong sales and customer focus/service skills Understanding of business accounting principles and P&L profitability; business acumen Excellent written and verbal communication skills Leadership skills with the ability to effectively train, motivate and influence all levels of the sales/management team Strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills Up to 50% travel; overnight travel This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures
