Job Summary
The Workship position serves to implement programming in the Office of Civic Engagement. Student workers are responsible for communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders; taking initiative to plan, organize and implement academic and co-curricular programming; multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment; assisting with administrative support; working with local youth and seniors; flexibility to change plans regularly to meet adapting needs; contributing to a positive environment for colleagues and volunteers; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must be a current Troy University student enrolled at least half-time.
2. Ability to perform work with a strong attention to detail
3. Proficient skill at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
4. Experience serving in community and non-profit contexts
Please note: Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare exemption, you must be enrolled on a half-time basis for the Fall, Spring, or Summer.
