Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Mission-Critical Infrastructure)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber, licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the engineering, design, and construction infrastructure for large-scale data centers and mission-critical facilities. In this role, you will serve as a technical anchor within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team, designing complex power distribution systems that form the backbone of modern data infrastructure. This position offers complete location flexibility within the United States, allowing you to manage large-scale projects-including massive greenfield developments and complex facility retrofits-from concept through construction support.
Key Responsibilities
Power Systems Engineering & Design
• Infrastructure Design: Engineer and design large-scale medium and low voltage power distribution systems, campus-style power conveyance, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) topologies, and emergency/standby generation systems.
• Systems Integration: Develop comprehensive electrical packages encompassing grounding, industrial lighting, and low-voltage communications systems for complex industrial facilities.
• System Retrofits: Architect and adapt existing building electrical systems to accommodate evolving, high-density power requirements and equipment upgrades.
Project Leadership & Quality Control
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers, establishing design requirements and ensuring the precise production of construction documents.
• Project Governance: Manage project-specific quality, scope, budget, and delivery schedules in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Peer Reviews: Perform rigorous quality control and engineering reviews of design packages to maintain technical excellence.
Cross-Functional & Field Collaboration
• Interdisciplinary Alignment: Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams using Revit/BIM software to ensure seamless spatial and system integration.
• Stakeholder Interface: Coordinate directly with clients, owners, and on-site contractors to resolve technical queries and support active construction phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is strictly required.
• Experience:
oMinimum of 6 years of experience in the engineering design of building electrical systems and medium/low voltage distribution networks.
oProven experience designing Data Centers, Mission-Critical facilities, or high-density industrial plants.
oExperience leading or managing small-to-medium teams of engineers.
• Technical Mastery:
oExtensive, expert-level working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
o Hands-on proficiency with Revit or equivalent BIM modeling software.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; a forward-thinking mindset eager to implement industry best practices and innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of dedicated data center facility design experience.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects established on greenfield sites.
