About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Revit Designer to join our Water team. This position will lead the development and coordination of electrical BIM models and design documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, industrial water facilities, and other complex municipal infrastructure.
This position will collaborate closely with our Water and Revit teams based throughout Washington and Oregon. The role may be based in one of our Washington or Oregon offices, with flexibility for a hybrid or remote work arrangement based on team integration, project needs, and experience level.
Your Role on the Team:
  • Lead electrical Revit model development and design documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed models and layouts for electrical equipment, lighting systems, conduit, electrical rooms, and associated facility components based on engineering criteria and project requirements.
  • Translate electrical plans, equipment information, sketches, markups, and engineering direction into coordinated 3D models and construction documents.
  • Prepare and oversee the development of plans, sections, details, schedules, equipment layouts, lighting layouts, one-line and wiring diagrams, and other electrical deliverables.
  • Coordinate electrical equipment placement and routing to account for access, working clearances, maintenance, constructability, and facility operations.
  • Coordinate electrical systems with process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, structural, civil, architectural, HVAC, and plumbing disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve complex model conflicts, routing constraints, equipment clearance issues, and interdisciplinary coordination challenges.
  • Participate in design reviews and model coordination meetings, clearly communicating design issues, decisions, and recommended solutions.
  • Establish or apply project-specific modeling strategies, electrical content, families, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Perform quality reviews of electrical models and drawings for completeness, consistency, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Revit designers and contribute to the continued development of electrical BIM practices within the Water team.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible Revit, BIM, electrical design, or related design experience.
  • Significant experience developing electrical models and construction documents for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, industrial facilities, or similarly complex infrastructure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, including electrical equipment, lighting, raceway and conduit modeling, schedules, families, views, and construction documentation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment layouts, electrical rooms, multidisciplinary facility coordination.
  • Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams, plans, equipment data, engineering sketches, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently organize and lead electrical model development for complex projects.
  • Experience coordinating with instrumentation and controls, process mechanical, structural, architectural, civil, HVAC, and other technical disciplines.
