Job description

Nursing Position at Albert Einstein Medical Center

Works with other members of the clinical team to deliver quality nursing care to our infusion patients, in an outpatient clinic setting. Executes medication regimens prescribed for those patients by licensed physicians. Administers non-chemo medications including blood products, IV fluids, vaccines, etc per physician/APP orders. Provides medication teaching to patients prior to administration. This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) young adult to frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience: BSN required and 3-5 years nursing experience.

Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. BSN required.

Physical Demand Analysis: Physical requirements are sitting, standing, walking, agility and dexterity. Visual requirements are near vision, depth perception, color vision and exposure to video display terminal. Hearing requirements include ability to hear normal conversation and telephone communication. Occupational exposure to chemotherapy drugs, blood/body fluids. Working conditions: office setting, Use of IV pumps, pheresis equipment, blood pressure machines. Physical demands analysis– supportive assistance to ambulatory patients constantly (67-100% of the time).
