Job description

We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant for a top fashion company in NYC who will support the Director of Sales and several Account Executives for multiple brands.
  • Temp to Perm role
  • Salary: $60K - $65K (hourly equivalent)
Responsibilities:
Showroom & Market Preparation
• Steam and tag samples in the showroom for market appointments.
• Ensure showrooms are organized, clean, and presentation ready.
• Dress and maintain mannequins for showroom displays.
• Order and coordinate food and refreshments for market appointments.
• Print boards and line sheets for market appointments.
• Organize seasonal samples during market.
Sample Management & Logistics
• Organize the sample closet each season.
• Ensure all samples are returned and sorted correctly.
• Pack and unpack samples for travel.
• Pack sample boxes containing duplicate and discontinued styles to be sent to stores and warehouse.
• Coordinate sample shipments to accounts for photography needs.
E-Commerce & Photography Coordination
• Distribute samples to the e-commerce team each season for photography.
• Send board sheets to e-commerce team once shot sheets are created.
• Verify samples have correct bodies/prints and label hangers with style numbers.
• Review e-commerce shot sheets, track samples, and verify image accuracy.
• Organize shot sheets and follow up with the e-commerce team regarding missing images.
• Communicate styling requirements to the e-commerce team (outfit pairings, footwear).
• Communicate with vendors regarding missing photography samples across missy and women's collections.
• Reach out to vendors each season to source women's styles for photography.
Sales Reporting & Order Processing
• Prepare and distribute reports, including weekly reports, TY/LY analyses, and ATS reports.
• Prepare weekly TY vs LY sales and stock reports.
• Submit written orders for processing.
• Assist with tallying orders each season during market.
• Assist with off-price orders as needed.
• Organize samples for current-season best-seller meetings.
Account Management & Retailer Support
• Send seasonal size breaks to accounts.
• Upload item setup information in Salsify each season.
• Send lifestyle images to accounts for seasonal catalogs.
• Send catalogs and product images to accounts as needed.
Marketing Content & Catalog Creation
• Support marketing initiatives each season including creating marketing content for all Salsify and system purposes.
• Assist with catalog creation and updates.
• Assist with photographing samples for catalogs.
• Organize racks of samples for YouTube videos.
Travel & Buyer Appointments
• Travel to trade shows and assist with buyer appointments.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1+ years' sales experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive and collaborative team member with the ability to work independently.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail and follow through skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and additional software/web-based applications.
• Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
• Occasionally will need to lift up to 35 lbs.
