Program Service Delivery Driver

Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California. The agency operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.

This position is part of a team that offers food service to community members experiencing food insecurity. The Program Service Delivery Driver is responsible for driving a box truck to pick up and deliver food to the foodbank and various grocery stores. The Program Service Delivery Driver will also transport participants enrolled in the Region's programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives truck to site for pick-up and delivery of food donations.
  • Transports participants to appropriate service site.
  • Records all activities occurring during shift.
  • Repeats procedure to return passengers from site.
  • Returns vehicle to worksite.
  • Records all passengers loaded.
  • Re-fuels, performs simple inspection of vehicle, routine cleaning and maintenance of vehicle.
  • Displays sensitivity to the client population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of High School or equivalent.
  • Valid Class C - California Driver's License. Two to six years of driving experience.
