Description

This is more of a Site Reliability Engineer role in the way of how problems are approached. As one of the engineers put it, "At the core, DevOps and SREs are both focused on the goal of improving both development and operational practices and what WE do. While the roles overlap, the angle that they're approaching a similar goal is different. During a firefight, DevOps Engineers should be more concerned with the what happened and when to determine how to resolve it right then. Conversely, SREs should be assessing the why and how the situation happened in the first place to better assess the situation holistically and ultimately help prevent it from happening again. The ability for SREs to step back from the day to day and focus on 'Why is this service failing, how can we fundamentally fix the root cause' instead of the DevOps question of 'What happened (or did not happen) and when was it" in order to determine paths forward for remediation.'"

The team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help with identification and resolution of operational performance while applying security best practices across our portfolio of DevOps tools. This is a fast-paced group working to modernize and evolve development workflows in IT & Engineering with modern, cloud-native tools and processes.
