GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining digital print equipment to produce a variety of print jobs.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain equipment to maximize performance through preventative maintenance (PM). To maintain the equipment, this includes troubleshooting, basic maintenance and repair, and the rip process. 

• Responsible for meeting productivity, understanding color management, conducting quality checks and ensuring image quality is up to standard, and meeting deadlines. 

• Responsible for operating various digital equipment to include printing presses, cutting, and finishing equipment.

• Prepares set up to include files, materials, and equipment for printing and finishing.

• Responsible for selecting and installing the proper anilox roll, plates, and dies for flexo jobs, when necessary. 

• Utilizes general computer knowledge along with desktop publishing, impositioning software, printing software, and printing technology knowledge to execute daily tasks. 

• Communicates with supervisor and/or inventory specialist to ensure equipment inventory levels are maintained.

• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

• Complies with safety standards and regulations required by OSHA/MIOSHA.

• Uses Monarch to log time and materials. 

• Interacts daily with supervisor/manager and with the operator of the presses on other shifts to schedule deadlines. 

• Attends training sessions and/or classes to remain current with techniques and technology.

• Performs other duties as requested.


Requirements:

• Ability to apply written instructions to machine setup. 

• Adheres to safety expectations, standards, and regulations put forth by the Company and required by OSHA/MIOSHA.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to present information when necessary.

• Ability to use critical thinking skills. 

• Strong knowledge of digital printing is preferred. 

• Strong knowledge of printing equipment is preferred.


LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

• None

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Equipment certifications for technology and maintenance is preferred
