Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for a Temporary Working Cannabis Cultivation / Harvest Supervisor to assist at a licensed cannabis cultivation facility in the Longview, Washington, area.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the Original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

As a Working Cannabis Cultivation / Harvest Supervisor, you will work alongside a team of temporary Cultivation / Harvest Technicians while helping coordinate daily activities and serving as the primary point of communication between Viridian Staffing and facility management.

This is a hands-on position. You will perform the same cultivation and harvest work as the rest of the team while also helping provide direction, monitor workflow, communicate facility expectations, and escalate questions or concerns as needed. Responsibilities may include cutting, deleafing/defoliation, hanging, bucking, cleaning, handling plant material, and other cultivation and harvest duties.

You should be dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day communication while leading through example. You should be able to communicate effectively with team members, Viridian Staffing, and facility management while helping the crew maintain productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Standing for up to 10 hours during a workday

  • Working around and handling cannabis plant material for up to 10 hours during a workday

  • Frequently lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Performing repetitive hand, arm, bending, reaching, and standing movements

  • Cutting, deleafing/defoliating, hanging, bucking, and handling cannabis plant material

  • Working directly alongside the cultivation and harvest team

  • Helping coordinate workflow and daily assignments

  • Serving as a point of communication between Viridian Staffing and facility management

  • Helping ensure the team follows productivity, quality, safety, and facility expectations

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Performing additional cultivation, harvest, and cleaning duties as assigned

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Previous management or supervisory experience is required. Previous hands-on experience in cannabis cultivation, harvest, agriculture, production, or a similar environment is strongly preferred. You should also have demonstrated experience directing employees, communicating expectations, addressing day-to-day workflow issues, and serving as a dependable point of contact for management.

The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, generally from approximately 6:30 AM–5:00 PM. Scheduling may include weekdays and weekends depending on production needs.

This position will initially begin as a 2-week temporary assignment, with the potential to extend for 2 months or longer based on business needs and performance.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Benefits: Temporary employees accrue paid sick leave in accordance with Washington State law. Health benefits are available to eligible temporary employees for assignments lasting longer than one month.

Other Compensation: No additional compensation is offered for this temporary position.
