We are seeking a full-time EHRM Construction Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. The CM functions include participating in design management with the Project Manager (PM) and General Contractor; monitoring various on-going construction activities and schedule for conformance with contract requirements; overseeing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, or architectural aspects of construction; supporting processing of easements, pertinent deeds, local code requirements, and restrictions; and supporting coordination of various phases of construction at a VA Medical Facility. Currently, Davenergy is looking for experienced CMs to assist in the oversight of a new Electronic Health Record Management (EHRM) IT infrastructure project which will serve to support our veterans' needs at the American Lake VA Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
  • These positions are field and coordination-oriented roles focused on construction observation, documentation, and owner support.
  • Perform field inspections to verify work complies with contract documents, approved submittals, applicable codes, and project requirements.
  • Assist with shutdown planning and coordination with VA facilities personnel and contractors.
  • Prepare daily reports documenting construction progress, manpower, work activities, site conditions, safety observations and significant events.
  • Maintain organized project documentation including inspection reports, correspondence, photographs, deficiency logs, and field observations.
  • As requested, review contractor submittals, RFIs, testing reports, schedules, and proposed changes and provide clear written feedback to the Government.
  • Assist with punch list development, deficiency tracking, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, engineers, VA staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Witness special inspections and testing as requested. Assist with close-out coordination and turnover activities.
  • Support project safety efforts through field observations and coordination with the Site Safety Manager.
  • Document field conditions or events that may impact schedule, cost, quality, or operations and communicate observations to the VA.

Relevant Experience and Knowledge
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), inspection, construction coordination, or owner's representative services on commercial, healthcare, or federal construction projects.
  • Familiarity with occupied renovation work, shutdown coordination, phased construction, and stakeholder coordination within active facilities.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction practices, materials, means and methods, and building systems.
  • Understanding of low-voltage systems and telecommunications infrastructure, including structured cabling, fiber optic systems, pathways, and IDF/MDF room construction.
  • Ability to recognize potential construction or coordination issues and communicate observations clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common construction management software applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work professionally in active construction environments.

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience or license may be considered in lieu of formal education.
The Senior Construction Manager will possess at least ten (10) years of relevant construction, infrastructure, inspection, QA/QC, engineering, or construction management experience. Healthcare or federal project experience is preferred but not required.
The Junior Construction Manager will possess at least two (2) years of relevant experience. Candidates with construction, field engineering, telecommunications, low-voltage, technology infrastructure or related experience, who are willing to learn, are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders and safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven surfaces and partially completed work areas. Regular exposure to construction environments with moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards. Occasional lifting and carrying equipment weighing approximately up to 25 lbs. may be required.
