Job description

As an AWS Storage Sales Specialist, you will contribute to driving adoption and revenue growth for AWS's comprehensive suite of storage services, with a focus on their integration with Generative AI technologies. Your role will involve implementing strategic approaches to identify high-value customer opportunities and engaging with AWS customers to understand their data needs and align them with AWS storage solutions. You will handle complex initiatives throughout the full-cycle sales engagement plan, from identifying qualified leads to realizing revenue.
Key job responsibilities
Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for storage solutions across the assigned territory or named accounts
Solution Development: Collaborate with customers to understand their data management challenges and design comprehensive storage solutions encompassing SAN, NAS, object storage, cloud storage, and hybrid architectures
Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify opportunities, map stakeholders, and outline engagement strategies to maximize wallet share within target accounts
Technical Discovery: Lead discovery sessions to assess customer environments, identify pain points, and quantify business impact of storage inefficiencies, data protection gaps, and capacity constraints
Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals and business cases that articulate ROI, TCO analysis, and competitive differentiation for recommended storage solutions
Sales Cycle Management: Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including qualification, demonstration coordination, proof-of-concept management, negotiation, and contract execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with solution architects, professional services, account teams, partners, and customer success teams
Pipeline Development: Maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive prospecting, lead follow-up, customer referrals.
Market Intelligence: Stay current on storage industry trends, competitive landscape and emerging technologies. Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and enhance the AWS storage service offerings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- Experience developing detailed go to market plans
- Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business
- 2+ years of experience in IT storage
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience (technical or educational) in Engineering or Computer Science

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
