About Our Organization

DASA DE&C manages the Army's Security Assistance and Armaments Cooperation programs that engage allies and partners across the full spectrum of Army acquisition to achieve force dominance. We lead the U.S. Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE), providing leadership, resource management and policy oversight. We build the capabilities of allies and partners, strengthen relationships with our foreign partners, and strengthen the U.S. industrial base.

Position Overview

As a Data Analyst, you will lead complex analytical projects and advise IAD leadership on the development and execution of enterprise data strategies. Your primary function is to analyze how the directorate uses data and recommend improvements to its processes, systems, and strategies. You will oversee projects to modernize data infrastructure, lead initiatives to enhance data-driven insights, and mentor other analysts on best practices. This position requires a unique blend of technical data expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to advise senior leaders on transforming complex data into actionable organizational improvements.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a strategic advisor to Army and DoD leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve enterprise-level decision-making processes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with OSD, industry partners, and the ASAE. Represent IAD's analytical capabilities in high-level engagements and cross-functional working groups.
  • Enterprise Analytics & Process Improvement: Conduct in-depth analysis of demand forecasting, production data, and resource planning to identify opportunities for organizational improvement. Lead projects to enhance automated workflows for data transformation, validation, and ingestion into Army and OSD platforms such as Vantage and Advana.
  • Organizational Enablement & Innovation: Advise on the design and development of innovative data applications and tools to replace legacy systems, improving efficiency and data accessibility. Identify and recommend process improvements across the data lifecycle, and support user adoption of new tools and methods to align data initiatives with mission objectives.

Essential Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in data analytics, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., Power Query, VBA), SQL, and Python. Experience building and maintaining dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI) and automating reporting pipelines.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and communicate analytical concepts effectively to senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience working within the U.S. Government (Army preferred). Experience leading cross-functional data projects.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or formal training in AI, machine learning, or advanced business analytics.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Army acquisition processes, security cooperation programs, or defense industry practices.

Work Environment

  • Location: Arlington, VA.
  • Travel: May be required up to 25% of the time to CONUS locations for temporary duty (TDY).
  • Schedule: This is a hybrid position requiring residency in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
  • Collaboration: Regardless of physical location, all team members are required to maintain a full virtual presence and actively participate in team meetings, discussions, and collaborative efforts via MS Teams, or other collaborative applications as directed during core business hours.
