Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled ESO Cloud Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise business intelligence ecosystem. In this role, you will be the primary architect for our data landscape, overseeing everything from initial requirement analysis to the ongoing administration of complex data analytic models.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between high-level architectural vision and hands-on engineering, ensuring our data repositories are scalable, secure, and performant.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design: Define and maintain the architecture for all data analytic models, databases, and repositories to support robust business intelligence.
Infrastructure as Code: Lead cloud infrastructure provisioning and automate deployment pipelines to ensure high availability and rapid iteration.
Data Integration & Governance: Design and troubleshoot schemas, data definitions, and metadata structures using AWS-native integration tools.
Software Engineering: Apply functional programming principles to build efficient, scalable cloud-based applications and data services.
Support & Optimization: Provide expert-level administration and troubleshooting for complex database environments, including Aurora and Redshift.
Core Technical Qualifications
AWS Data Ecosystem: Expert knowledge of AWS Storage (S3, EBS), Databases (Aurora, Postgres, Redshift), and Data Integration (Glue).
DevOps & Automation: Proficiency in GitLab for CI/CD and deployment automation.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced skill in Terraform for cloud provisioning.
Polyglot Programming: Proficiency in Python or Scala.
