Job description

Job Title: IT Business Analyst (Healthcare Operations & Pharmacy Analytics)
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Business Analyst to drive the operational and analytical foundation of our pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment operations. In this role, you will partner closely with performance operations teams to expand our capacity for operational metric development, data automation, and quality validation across complex healthcare data sources.
This is a critical, compliance-driven role positioned within a covered entity to enable secure, patient-level operational analysis under strict data governance frameworks. You will build operational dashboards, conduct SQL-driven data analyses, and ensure rigorous adherence to HIPAA and data-separation protocols. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong technical foundation in healthcare analytics, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing & Operational Data Management
• Data Maintenance: Support the recreation, validation, and ongoing maintenance of operational metrics derived from platform usage and pharmacy fulfillment data to enhance automation, accuracy, and quality.
• Data Integrity: Ensure data availability, high quality, and strict regulatory compliance across all dispensing data workstreams.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Dashboard Deployment: Create, deploy, and maintain operational dashboards for internal consumption and stakeholder reporting.
• Metric Tracking: Track and report performance metrics, ensuring timely and accurate updates to reporting tools and cross-source dispensing views supporting financial and operational needs.
Analytical Insights & Operational Support
• Data-Driven Analysis: Utilize SQL and Excel to measure operational performance, surface performance trends, and translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Support rapid issue resolution and urgent operational challenges through cross-functional collaboration and robust data investigation.
Data Governance & Compliance
• Regulatory Compliance: Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) and sensitive operational data strictly in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and established data-governance guidelines.
• Data Separation: Maintain rigorous adherence to manufacturer versus covered-entity data-separation requirements, specifically regarding partner-level and patient-level data handling.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related analytical discipline.
• Experience Baseline: 1 to 3+ years of professional work experience within a HIPAA-covered entity or healthcare analytics environment.
• Technical Mastery:
oStrong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel.
oDemonstrated experience with at least one statistical programming language (Python or R).
oFamiliarity with healthcare, pharmacy, claims, or dispensing operational data.
• Compliance & Core Competencies: Ability to complete and maintain all required data privacy, HIPAA, and compliance training, combined with an innate aptitude for handling sensitive health information securely.
Preferred Attributes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• High learning agility, adaptability, and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Deep working understanding of healthcare data-governance constraints, data separation rules, and privacy protocols.
