Job description

Data Analyst / Report Writer 3
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension)
Role Overview
The client is seeking a senior-level Data Analyst to support the development of a platform that presents school system data in a clear, accessible, and actionable way. This role involves analyzing complex education data, building dashboards and scorecards, and developing low-code tools that help schools track progress and make informed decisions.
The ideal candidate will be strong in data storytelling, dashboard development, and low-code platform solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze school system data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
Build Excel-based scorecards and tracking tools to monitor performance over time
Design and maintain low-code solutions (Power Platform, Power Automate, etc.) to collect and organize data
Create forms, surveys, and automated workflows to streamline data intake and reporting
Review federal and state reporting requirements to identify overlaps and recommend process improvements
Collaborate with agency stakeholders to ensure data tools are user-friendly and aligned with business needs
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Data Analytics and Data Storytelling
8+ years of experience working with low-code platforms
5+ years of advanced Excel experience
3+ years of Power BI experience (data modeling, DAX, dashboards)
Strong communication skills and ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Qualtrics
Experience with Smartsheet
Prior experience working with state agencies, public sector, or education systems
Ideal Candidate
Senior Data Analyst with strong business-facing experience
Experienced in building automated reporting and workflow solutions
Comfortable working in compliance-driven or government environments
