About the Role

The Director of Enterprise Security and IT leads the IT and Enterprise Security organizations. The role spans enterprise security, enterprise IT and applications, site reliability engineering, and Help Desk across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, identity services, endpoints, and AI platforms and services.

This role is responsible for keeping systems reliable and employees productive, leading governance, risk, and compliance activities, and directing the response to security incidents and operational outages. This role also drives practical AI adoption across the enterprise by identifying high-value applications and directing the development of AI-powered automation, dashboards, analytics, and integrations.

This is a hands-on, onsite leadership position with responsibility for people and team management, budgeting, vendors, service delivery, and major technology initiatives. This role drives measurable improvements in security, reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience across enterprise IT and information security, including 3+ years of people management with direct responsibility for both IT and security teams or functions.
  • Deep hands-on experience securing and operating large-scale AWS or Azure environments, including identity architecture, network security, logging and detection, and cloud security posture management, along with substantial experience operating and securing on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated use of AI assistants, agents, and code generation as a meaningful force multiplier, along with experience personally building or directing the development of AI-powered dashboards, automations, and integrations using AI APIs and platforms, with concrete and measurable outcomes beyond administering off-the-shelf products.
  • Experience leading governance, risk, and compliance activities, including security policies, risk assessments, control frameworks, audits, and remediation programs.
  • Broad technical depth across infrastructure, networks, identity and access management, endpoint management, and enterprise applications, including experience operating identity services across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Experience leading IT service delivery functions, including Help Desk, enterprise applications, and network or site reliability engineering, with accountability for availability, service levels, and employee experience.
  • Experience leading security operations and vulnerability management, including major incidents and outages through service restoration, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Experience managing budgets, service providers, technology vendors, and complex cross-functional initiatives, with strong written and verbal communication skills for executive, business, and technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LLM API integration, agentic workflows, AI orchestration, and interoperability standards such as MCP.
  • Experience leading enterprise AI adoption, including workforce enablement, acceptable-use governance, and management of unsanctioned AI tools.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed or global IT and security teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or product-focused organization, collaborating across enterprise IT, security, engineering, operations, and product teams.
  • Experience modernizing IT service delivery, security operations, or hybrid infrastructure through automation and continuous improvement.

Education and Certifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
  • CISSP or CISM certification.
  • AWS or Azure cloud security certification.

Preferred

  • AWS or Azure Solutions Architecture certification.
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
