What You'll Do:
  • Handle the proper application of crop protection products
  • Operate all spray equipment
  • Spray and calibrate pesticides
  • Operate computers on equipment
  • Mix, load, and apply pesticides/fertilizers
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Assist mechanic
  • Maintain application/spray records
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Must meet DOT and Company requirements
  • Applicator's and Fumigation License is a plus
  • Previous application experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role, in Watsonville, CA location, is between $20.00 - $29.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
Our benefit package provides paid sick days. However, given the temporary nature of this role, this position does not participate in any other benefit, retirement savings or paid time off programs, nor any form of incentive compensation. This position is eligible for overtime and any pay elements required under local, state or federal law. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations.
