Spectrum Brands' global enabling functions, including Finance, Legal, IT, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations, provide enterprise-wide strategy, structure, and common processes to deliver the knowledge and expertise that helps our businesses grow. Enabling functions may operate as a center-led global team, providing a central strategy, structure, and standards; or as business partner teams, with resources embedded within the businesses to deliver business unit-specific results.
Job Summary
This is a LTE (Limited Term Employment) position anticipated to last 6 months in length (possibly longer). The role requires a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule.
The role is an expert in leading full lifecycle recruitment efforts across multiple business units for all levels of talent including hard-to-fill, complex, and critical roles. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with hiring managers and HR partners, developing proactive strategies to recruit top talent, and delivering an exceptional experience to candidates and hiring managers.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment (70%)
• Own and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned requisitions.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies using a variety of channels (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, ATS, networking, etc.).
• Leverage talent market data to design recruitment strategy based on labor market trends, talent competitors, compensation benchmarks, and talent acquisition best practices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace in which we recruit and establish networks.
• Maintain an understanding of talent across industries and functions. Provide input on various recruitment trends and practices.
• Screen and assess candidate qualifications through resume review, phone screens, and interviews.
• Negotiate offers and clearly communicate complex compensation packages.
• Act as a liaison with Preferred Vendors and their candidates for appropriate positions.
Consulting (30%)
• Act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers as related to talent acquisition.
• Share data insights with hiring managers to influence approach to filling roles.
• Challenge hiring managers about talent assumptions and provide creative solutions.
• Guide hiring teams through structured interview processes; provide frequent updates to hiring managers regarding the status of their respective positions.
• Partner with HR business partners and hiring managers to share best practices and lead discussions to guide the selection and offer process.
Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of technical and functional experience is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of proven progressive recruiting experience, encompassing a variety of professional, technical, exempt, non-exempt and leadership positions
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing full recruitment lifecycle for mid to senior-level roles across multiple business units, including hard-to-fill, complex, and critical roles
  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and recruiting tools including LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Understand how changes in business strategy impact staffing needs to build pipeline of future talent
  • Demonstrated ability to build talent pipelines and maintain strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge in best practices for interview techniques, assessment methods, and employment laws
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment

Work Environment
This is a hybrid role allowing for work from home on Monday and Fridays and in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
