Position : Developer/Programmer- Junior (479217)

Client: : NCDA&CS

Location : 2109 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh, NC 27607

Duration :6+ Months (Contract to Hire)

Short Description: This is a temp to hire position for a beginner programmer.

Complete Description: Structural Pest and Pesticide's division is looking to hire a temporary employee to come on board to do some development to advance their divisions programs. This programmer will need to assist in that project and also support current systems until the replacement system can be completed.

This is a temp to hire position. DA&CS are not able to offer sponsorship for the full time role. Only candidates available to work full time without sponsorship will be considered for this position.

Expected Skills: Able to work successfully with guidance; cannot provide leadership to others; able to manage simple to medium complexity work efforts.

Description (including, but not limited to):

1. Development and enhancement of applications based on established design specifications

2. Analysis, design, coding, component/assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team

3. Implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements

4. Writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions, maintenance (including production support)

5. Unit testing applications and developing system and user documentation


Qualifications

Skills-

  • Strong Microsoft Access skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of database theory including SQL, relational hierarchical databases.
  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries, triggers, stored procedures, and user defined functions.
  • Ability to learn new software systems and programming languages by studying available references.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people.
  • Good management, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and work cooperatively with a variety of people and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret organizations and work processes to develop or modify applications that meet business requirements.
  • Experienced in interacting with business users and be able to translate business requirement into technical specifications.
  • Working Knowledge of SharePoint for website, team sites and intranet updates.
  • Experience in VB.net and C#
  • Experience with Team foundation server (TFS)
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
