Job Title: Skilled Laborer

Job Description

This role focuses on commercial construction work that includes framing, drywall, finish work, and concrete. You will contribute to building and finishing structures by working with metal and wood studs, installing doors and windows, and performing a variety of carpentry-related tasks. The position requires consistent adherence to safety standards and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure high-quality, accurate project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Frame and construct metal and wood stud structures according to project specifications.
  • Install drywall, including hanging, taping, finishing, and painting to achieve a clean, professional appearance.
  • Install drop ceilings, cabinetry, millwork, and insulation in commercial projects.
  • Set and install commercial doors, windows, and related hardware to meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Form and finish concrete for foundations and flatwork, ensuring proper alignment, level, and finish quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accuracy in layout and installation.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards at all times and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each project.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing to coordinate work on commercial construction projects.
  • Travel reliably to various job sites using personal transportation as required.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2+ years of carpentry experience in construction environments.
  • Proficiency in framing and constructing metal and wood stud structures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
