Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy position requiring GA or Compact RN license and pre/post-op (PACU) skills.
Job Details
• , inppatient endoscopy unit setting with outpatient endoscopy center exposure,
• Provides pre and post-procedure (PACU) nursing care,
• Patient ratio of 1:2,
• Uses Cerner charting system,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM,
• No on-call requirements,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required,
• Cerner charting system experience required,
• Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation,
• Experience with post-procedure recovery from conscious sedation,
• Experience assisting with bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD procedures,
• Skilled in circulating duties and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias,
• Skilled in specimen handling and labeling,
• Copy of driver's license and proof of residence required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Provide pre and post-procedure nursing care for endoscopy patients,
• Support procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD,
• Administer, monitor, and manage recovery from conscious sedation,
• Requests for time off must be minimal, especially around holidays,
• Local candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility are accepted at the local rate,
• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible
