Job description

TVM MODIFICATION TECHNICIAN

ESP Enterprises, Inc.

Location: Los Angeles, CA (LA Metro Rail Stations)

Duration: May 4, 2026 – End of June 2026 | Completion Bonus: $250.00

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Positions: 1 | Start Date: May 4, 2026

PROJECT OVERVIEW

ESP Enterprises has been contracted by Cubic Transportation Systems to perform Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) modifications at LA Metro rail stations. Work includes installing new PIN pads, key pads, and associated cabling as part of LA Metro's TAP Plus upgrade—a multi-million dollar initiative preparing the system for the 2026 World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and 2028 Olympics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Remove and replace existing TVM PIN pads and key pads with new units
  • Run, route, and terminate cabling associated with new pad installations
  • Safely handle and position equipment weighing up to 75 lbs throughout the workday
  • Verify proper mounting, structural integrity, and connectivity of all installed components
  • Maintain installation logs and follow Metro safety protocols
  • Work efficiently in active transit environments with ongoing train operations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physical: Lift/carry 75 lbs repeatedly; stand, bend, kneel extended periods; work on ladders
  • Experience: 1+ year in equipment installation, construction, or related field
  • Skills: Proficient with hand/power tools; read installation diagrams; basic cabling and mounting hardware knowledge
  • Attributes: Strong work ethic, punctuality, detail-oriented, team player, safety-conscious
  • Other: Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation for reporting to various Metro locations throughout greater Los Angeles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

LA Metro familiarity • OSHA 10/30 certification • Previous work with ESP Enterprises or Cubic Transportation Systems is a plus!
