Temporary Concrete Laborer Jobs in Virginia (NOW HIRING)

This role involves performing a wide range of construction labor tasks with a strong focus on concrete work, including forming and pouring curbs and parking lots. You will use hand and power tools to support site preparation, construction activities, and clean-up while working safely and efficiently in an outdoor environment.

• Perform general construction labor tasks to support daily project activities.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for concrete and construction work.
• Assist with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete for curbs, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Prepare work areas by setting up forms, materials, and equipment needed for concrete work.
• Support curb and concrete work, including placement, leveling, and basic finishing tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site by performing regular construction clean-up.
• Follow safety guidelines and use tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the construction team to complete tasks on schedule.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project needs.

• Experience performing general construction labor tasks.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a construction environment.
• Ability to operate basic power tools commonly used in construction and concrete work.
• Knowledge of concrete work, including forming, pouring, and basic finishing.
• Capability to assist with curb and concrete work on curbs, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliability to work scheduled shifts and complete assigned tasks.
• Understanding of basic construction site safety practices.

• 2+ years of concrete experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a concrete laborer or in curb and concrete work is an advantage.
• Experience performing construction site clean-up and general labor tasks.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a construction crew.

This opportunity offers consistent full-time hours with the potential for overtime, allowing you to increase your earnings while building your skills. After approximately 90 days, there is an opportunity to transition from contract to a more long-term arrangement, providing stability and room for growth. This position is fully outdoors and involves working on active construction sites, primarily focused on concrete and curb work. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with opportunities for overtime as needed. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for long periods. The role requires appropriate work attire suitable for construction environments and varying weather conditions, along with adherence to all site safety practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
