Job description

If you're great on the phone and want to spend the next few months with a company that actually treats people right, keep reading. Tim Kyle Electric, Heating & Cooling is hiring a temporary Customer Service Representative to cover a maternity leave from mid-July through early November.

Family-owned. No corporate call-center grind. No drama. Just steady work, a set schedule, and a team that backs each other up. You'll train in our office, then work from home for the rest of the run.

About Tim Kyle

We're a family-owned electrical and HVAC company that's been serving Carroll County since 1986, voted Carroll County's Best Electrical & HVAC Contractor. Forty years in business. The kind of shop where the team eats breakfast together every week, and people actually stick around. We run on integrity, respect, and getting the job done right (without cutting corners).

What You'll Get

  • $18.00/hr
  • Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (no weekends, no rotating shifts)
  • Paid training from day one
  • Steady, predictable hours for the full run (mid-July to early November)
  • A real look at how a family-owned electrical, HVAC, and generator company runs

What You'll Be Doing

  • Answering incoming calls and making homeowners feel taken care of
  • Booking service appointments in our scheduling software
  • Following up with online leads so none of them slip through
  • Staying in touch with field techs throughout your shift
  • Helping coordinate dispatch and appointment timing
  • Answering questions about our electrical, HVAC, and generator services

Who We're Looking For

You're great with people. You stay organized when the phones get busy. You treat customers and coworkers with respect. You'd rather get it right than rush it.

Beyond that:

  • Comfortable and professional on the phone
  • Able to juggle calls, scheduling, and follow-ups without dropping the ball
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to pick up new scheduling software quickly
  • A quiet, reliable home setup for the remote portion
  • Past customer service, call center, dispatch, or scheduling experience is a plus, not a must
  • If you don't check every box but feel like you'd be a fit, apply anyway. We hire the right person and train the rest.

How to Apply

Apply at timkylecompany.com/employment or call 410-876-9404. We'll get back to you fast.

This role is temporary (mid-July through early November), but it's a real one: steady hours, honest pay, and a team that'll treat you like one of their own while you're here. If that sounds like you, let's talk.
