Temporary Cold Calling Scripts information

What are temporary cold calling scripts?

Temporary cold calling scripts are pre-written dialogues or templates used by sales or customer service teams for a limited period, often to support a specific campaign, promotion, or seasonal outreach. These scripts help callers introduce themselves, present a product or service, and handle common objections efficiently during outbound calls. Since they are designed for temporary use, they are typically focused on a particular goal and may be updated or retired after the campaign concludes.

What is the difference between Temporary Cold Calling Scripts vs Telemarketers?

Search & Comparison IntentFocus on scripts for temporary calling tasksFocus on telemarketing roles and techniques

Temporary Cold Calling Scripts are templates used to guide short-term calling campaigns, often created for specific projects. Telemarketers are professionals who make calls to promote products or services, often using scripts. While both involve calling, scripts are tools, and telemarketers are the personnel executing the calls.

How can I effectively handle rejection and maintain motivation as a temporary cold calling script specialist?

Handling rejection is a common challenge in temporary cold calling roles, as many prospects may decline your offer or end the call abruptly. To stay motivated, it's important to view each call as a learning opportunity and not take refusals personally. Successful specialists often set small, achievable goals for each shift—like completing a certain number of calls or securing a few positive responses—which helps maintain focus and momentum. Support from team leads and regular feedback sessions can also provide encouragement and help you refine your approach.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temporary cold caller?

To thrive as a Temporary Cold Caller, you need strong verbal communication skills, resilience, and basic sales or customer service experience. Familiarity with CRM software, auto-dialers, and call tracking systems is often required. Persistence, adaptability, and active listening are essential soft skills for handling objections and engaging potential customers. These abilities are important for effectively generating leads and achieving call targets in a competitive sales environment.

Founding SDR

Arch

San Francisco, CA • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Founding SDR at Arch
Bay Area • In-person 3 days/week • Full-time
Why Arch
The $800B US frontline-services economy still runs on spreadsheets, outdated software, and paper forms. Arch brings modern AI to the businesses that need it most, starting with residential home services operators in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Two forces are transforming the industry at once: private equity is consolidating home services faster than ever, and AI now makes it possible to run revenue operations that used to require a 10-person marketing team. We sell to the PE-backed rollups and large independents at the center of both.
We are six people with a $6M+ seed from Coatue, Mike Schroepfer (former CTO of Meta), Floodgate, and the founders of Aurora Solar, among others. Our customers already include some of the largest operators in home services: Flint Group, Legacy Service Partners, and ResiXperts. Founders: Philipp Krinner (Stanford GSB, ex-McKinsey, previously built and ran a robotics company deploying large-scale solar farms) and Sacha Schmitz (serial founder, ex-YC, multiple exits).
The job, honestly
This is the tip of the spear. If you want to become an AE, a GTM leader, or a founder one day, there is no faster classroom.
Monday you're cold calling operators across three time zones. Tuesday you're rebuilding the sequence that isn't converting. Wednesday you're mapping which PE platform just bought four HVAC companies, because every acquisition is a reason to call. A few times a year you'll work a trade show floor until your voice gives out.
You'll hear no more times in a week than most people hear in a year. Then you'll book a meeting with the COO of one of the biggest operators in the country, and it will feel like winning. Because it is.
Nobody hands you a script written by a sales enablement team. You write the scripts. If that sounds like freedom, keep reading. If it sounds like a problem, this is not your role.
The arc: you build lists and book qualified meetings for the CEO and our founding AEs. You sit in on the calls you create and learn discovery, demos, and closing from the inside. Then you start running your own. This role is designed as a fast track to closing.
The squad: the CEO, our Chief of Staff, and our founding AEs. You're the engine at the front of it.
What success looks like
  • Qualified meetings with operators and PE platforms land on the calendar through your outbound, week after week
  • Cold lists become warm conversations: your sequences, call scripts, and account research get reused by the whole squad
  • You earn your way into the deals you create: discovery first, then closing

What you'll bring
  • Fearlessness on the phone. Rejection rolls off you
  • Crisp writing that earns replies from busy operators
  • 6 to 18 months of outbound experience (SDR, BDR, door-to-door, recruiting, fundraising), or an unusual track record of grit: athletics, military, service jobs, something you built yourself
  • Genuine respect for the trades. Our buyers built real businesses and they can smell condescension in one sentence
  • Coachability: you ask for feedback daily and apply it by the next call

Strongly preferred: familiarity with home services, the ServiceTitan ecosystem, or selling into SMB and mid-market operators.
What you get
  • A front-row apprenticeship in zero-to-one GTM, working directly with the CEO
  • A real path to closing: you step into AE work as you earn it, and what you build becomes the playbook for everyone after you
  • Meaningful equity at the ground floor, real traction, massive market
  • Competitive compensation and platinum health benefits
  • A team of serial founders, stellar builders, and team players in the heart of San Francisco
