Job description

Description: Lead Human Resource functions in the District including a focus on recruitment, hiring, retention and engagement, employee wellness, compliance training, developing and maintaining HRIS, teaching licensure and certification
Job Summary:

1. Lead District recruitment efforts, effectively communicating the benefits of joining the District using online tools, job fairs and by establishing relationships with universities and professional organizations
2. Administer Equal Employment Opportunity programs and effective diversity recruitment initiatives
3. Coordinate and implement orientation and onboarding processes
4. Track staff learning and development through traditional salary lane change movement and internal programs such as mentoring and Internal University
5. Research and evaluate techniques to assess and improve employee engagement and retention efforts
6. Develop and administer employee rewards, recognition, and wellbeing programs
7. Meet with staff regularly to determine and understand needs, provide resources that help them fulfill their potential, and help cultivate a culture that values work-life integration
8. Oversee job description maintenance, licensure requirements and position reviews
9. Participate in the administration of District's compensation and benefits programs
10. Assist with transition processes to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, contracts, and legislation
11. Implement inclusive and equitable policies and practices that meet the needs of a diverse workforce
12. Assist in developing reports to the Board of Education regarding employment decisions
13. Manage FMLA and other types of leaves in accordance with the bargaining contracts, IL School Code, State and Federal regulations
14. Implement and maintain Human Resource Information Systems
15. Apply analysis tools and human resource data, including strengths, weaknesses, and trends to determine and develop departmental and organizational strategies
16. Provide overall implementation and oversight to guest teachers and temporary staff, including recruitment, selection, and scheduling
17. Assist in preparing Board of Education policy recommendations and revisions
18. Responsible for coordination of state reporting
19. Participates in committees as appropriate
20. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources


















Qualifications: 

1. Qualifications as set by the Board of Education and the School Code.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Working Conditions:



12-Month Position, with benefits. Reports to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $85,000 - Dependent upon experience
