Job description

Warehouse Lead Opportunity 2nd and 3rd Shifts

A growing food manufacturing company in the Cudahy, WI area is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working alongside the team, keeping materials and finished products moving, and ensuring warehouse activities are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

We are looking for a dependable leader who can help organize daily priorities, support employees, and work closely with production to keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support daily warehouse activities, including receiving, material movement, inventory, staging, and shipping
  • Assign daily work and help ensure warehouse priorities are completed on schedule
  • Work hands-on alongside warehouse employees as needed
  • Coordinate the movement of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods
  • Ensure production has the materials needed to meet daily manufacturing schedules
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
  • Ensure products and materials are properly labeled, stored, and rotated
  • Support FIFO and lot traceability requirements
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and system transactions
  • Identify inventory, shipping, receiving, or material flow issues and communicate concerns to management
  • Train and coach warehouse employees on proper procedures and expectations
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow and reinforce GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to support daily operations

What We're Looking For

  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience
  • Prior lead, team lead, or warehouse leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, or a fast-paced distribution environment strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and material movement
  • Experience with FIFO, lot tracking, and warehouse documentation
  • Forklift experience required
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and keep a team focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and warehouse system experience
  • Ability to follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position
