Job description

SNELLING is currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist for a manufacturing company in the Tyler area with a pay rate of $18.00 to $32.00/hr. Schedule is Monday-Friday during standard day shift hours.
We are seeking an independent proactive CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and adjust CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine parts to specifications.
  • Measure finished workpieces using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure conformance.
  • Mount, install, and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Stop machines to remove finished parts or change tooling, setups, or workpiece placement as needed.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years as a CNC Machinist operating CNC mills and lathes required.
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments, tooling, and machining processes.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Own tools preferred but not required.
