Job description

Overview
The TES Agent Assistant will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the goals and objectives for the Coffee County 4-H program. For the County 4-H Program, the Agent Assistant will work with schools and volunteers to coordinate and/or facilitate in-school, after-school, and special interest community 4-H clubs.
About Temporary Employment at Auburn:Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
    • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
    • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
    • Assistance with special projects
    • Seasonal work
    • Emergencies

Responsibilities
  • The Agent Assistant will also assist in preparing curriculum, implementing youth activities, and entering enrollment data.
  • Must have good organizational and basic technology skills.
  • Will assist and/or work with the County Extension Director and 4-H Foundation Agent in activities that benefit the youth of the county.
  • May also do office work as needed, such as answer phones, make copies, and assist office visitors.

The majority of the work for this position will be done in the classroom(s) of schools located throughout Coffee County
Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent

AND
    • 4 years of experience in providing educational programs/services, customer service, or administrative support.

Scope of Experience: Experience in clerical or administrative support services.
Substitution allowed for Experience:
Degrees may be used in lieu of experience.
