We are seeking a Experienced Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals interested in a hands-on role testing construction materials and supporting infrastructure development. Whether you're starting your career or looking to grow in civil or geotechnical engineering, we want to hear from you.

Compensation: $25-35/hour (depending on experience)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (schedule may vary)


What you'll be doing:

  • Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete

  • Perform laboratory testing including:

    • Moisture Content

    • Sieve Analysis

    • Atterberg Limits

    • Proctor Compaction

    • Consolidation

    • Direct Shear

    • Compressive Strength

  • Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager

  • Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards


What you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Willingness to follow procedures and contribute to team success


What will make you stand out:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar lab or materials testing role

  • ACI or WAQTC certifications

  • Coursework or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or geology


Preferred Certification(s):

  • ACI โ€“ Concrete Field Testing Technician

  • ATTI - Soils, Aggregate Testing, Asphalt
