Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Finishing Operator for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Responsible for cleaning out core debris prior to shipping.

  • Verifies product is within tolerances using measuring devices including, but not limited to protractors, scales, calipers, micrometers and other inspection tools.

  • Will repair product defects such as, but not limited to open nodes, split cells walls, bond lines and other surface repairs.

  • Will perforate, trim and or sand to meet customer specifications.

  • Prepares parts for shipping including kitting, pre packing when required, and properly stores parts in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.

  • Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Experience using small hand and power tools, a plus.

  • Basic computer skills - WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, required.

  • Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills.

  • Experience working with handheld scanners, interacting with MRP or inventory control systems, preferred.

Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
