Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will operate machinery safely, strictly adhering to all established procedures and ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Operate machinery in adherence to safety protocols.
- Prioritize job flow based on input from production planning and supervision.
- Accurately interpret and process work instructions.
- Measure and record process data using tools such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, rulers, and scales, as well as computer systems.
- Perform light equipment maintenance and utilize supportive hand tools.
- Read and look up routings, process sheets, and shop orders; cross-train as necessary.
- Maintain product traceability and ensure accuracy in alloy identification, order documentation, and data entry.
- Recognize, document, and communicate quality issues throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve routine operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering support to identify opportunities for material and process improvements.
- Perform other machine operations and duties as assigned, including overtime when required.
Essential Skills- Experience in production and machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly line experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Solid experience running machinery in a manufacturing or industrial shop.
- Good mechanical skills and the ability to follow technical instructions easily.
- A strong commitment to staying safe and hitting quality standards.
- Experience working on assembly lines or with industrial gear.
- Eagerness to learn new processes or how to run new equipment.

Work EnvironmentThe position is part of a mid-size manufacturing team operating on the first and second shifts. Our facility is a safety-oriented, high-temperature environment where professionals must adhere strictly to all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Candidates should be comfortable working in a loud environment and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining safety standards. The first shift runs from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and the second shift from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.90 - $24.20/hr.
