Kanaan Communications is currently hiring Drop Bury Technicians. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to support quality underground service installations.

What you'll do
  • Operation of plow equipment and or hand dig to bury new and replacement drops or repair existing drops.
  • Reconnection of existing underground drops from tap to ground block, NID and/or OFDC
  • Removal of any old drops on-site when necessary, and all restoration to customer satisfaction
  • Locating private facilities
  • Document and report on work completed to meet customer specifications
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need
    • Successful completion of pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid Driver's License

    Preferred:
    • 1-year Telecommunication experience preferred.
    • General knowledge of, but not limited to, underground cabling/fiber and easements
    • Able to read and understand maps and blueprints accurately and efficiently.
