It's our goal to continue to strive toward keeping abreast of the most modern and cost effective methods to providing a complete and efficient maintenance program for all maintenance needs. Ace Surface Maintenance, Inc. specializes in construction sweeping, city and municipal street sweeping, parking lot maintenance and sweeping, and a multitude of other maintenance services which include garage scrubbing and pressure washing.
We are currently looking for a Day Porter to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: DOE (Dependent on Experience).
Schedule:
  • Saturday & Sunday 6:30am - 5pm.

Responsibilities include:
  • Will include being cross-trained on operating equipment. (Sweeping unit, Power Washing unit, and Portering).

Pressure Washing:
  • High-pressure water spraying to remove dirt, grime, gum, and other contaminants from various surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain professional-grade pressure washing equipment.
  • Safely and proficiently drive a company vehicle while towing a commercial trailer, including backing the trailer up into tight spaces and garages.

Sweeping Operator:
  • Operates backpack blower to blow our trash, debris, and leaves.
  • Operates sweeping vehicle that cleans streets and lots of trash, leaves and other.
  • Ensures supplies and material handling equipment is secured prior to operating sweeper.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.

Portering:
  • Remove and replace garbage bags.
  • Dumpster areas/trash enclosures. Need to be cleaned out every visit.
  • General pick-up of all litter in bushes &islands, including cigarette butts.
  • Wipe down windowsills.
  • Wipe down trashcan receptacles and seating areas.
  • Remove cobwebs from hallways and walkways.
  • Remove gum, as needed.
  • Wipe up major spills.
  • Remove and dispose of trash. (If items are large, report it to management)
  • Walk the property to ensure the property looks clean and maintained.
  • Drive and act in courteous manner, at all times.
  • Clear communication with leadership regarding issues or problems, while on-site.

Equipment:
We will supply all the necessary tools needed to perform this job, (i.e. shovel, broom, bags, gloves, PPE, cleaning supplies etc.). You will be utilizing a company vehicle and will be responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle.
