Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg / Telemetry (Night)
Location: New Lenox, Illinois (Onsite)
Work Type: Contract

Hours: 36-40 Hours per Week
Shift Details
• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: As per unit requirements
• Weekend Requirement: TBD
• On-Call Requirement: TBD
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg / Telemetry is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
This role includes monitoring cardiac patients, administering treatments, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards while working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
• Provide nursing care to Med Surg / Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry data
• Administer medications including cardiac drips
Patient Care & Safety
• Ensure safe and effective patient care for adult and geriatric populations
• Manage post-surgical patient care
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
Team Collaboration
• Supervise CNA/SNA and other healthcare staff
• Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain professional nursing standards
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Follow documentation protocols
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 4+ years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, drips, and post-surgical care
• Active Illinois RN License (Required at submission)
• BLS Certification (AHA - Required)
• ACLS Certification (AHA - Required)
• NIHSS Certification (Required)
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients
• Must be fully COVID vaccinated
• Must provide IL Nurse Agency Certificate (Required)
