Job description

Grigg's/ACE Hardware has an opening in our Loss Prevention department. The best fit for the position will assist in ensuring our customers have an amazing customer experience by reducing financial losses via theft, fraud, and other errors that cost our company money.

The Loss Prevention Associate will observe the main entrance and walk the store when necessary. A person who is quick on their feet and pays attention to body language will thrive in this position!

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Represent Grigg's/ACE Hardware positively and professionally.
  • Monitor inventory for theft or shortages and public areas for unusual activity.
  • Inspect stores and facilities to ensure security equipment is working properly and stockrooms, sales floors, and cash handling areas for potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Investigate sources of known losses, suspicious customer(s) or employee activity, and document theft and other violations of security.
  • Perform covert surveillance of areas susceptible to loss and analyze CCTV footage for suspicious activities.
  • Conduct periodic testing of alarm and video surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes and work with them to detain suspects.
